So last night, since it's been raining of the afternoons/evenings, I wanted some exercise but wasn't going to walk in the heavy rain in the dark- two big no-no's.. So we decided to clear the living room and "workout". That still only gave the 4 of us an area of about 10x10, if that. Well I couldn't remember the latest workout I did, so we improvised. Yea, that didn't go so well. So we ended up looking sooo silly!! Now..recall that the houses here in our "neighborhood" are California style (ontop of each other-that could be why this exact area is referred to as Neuva California:) and we just so happened to NOT have our curtains up (I saw them laying in a bag when we first arrived but didn't think anything of it, couldn't really tell if there were curtain rods up-but yes they are, they are made from skinny pvc piping). So here we are, looking like a bunch of crazy "white girls" to any innocent bystander walking by. And that's the main mode of transportation.. Eventually I realized that Yes I could see Perfectly clearly out our side window, so that of course means anyone on that side can see the same. Ut-oh.. So we stopped, put up curtains..and still don't have enough to ward off scarring our neighbors. (Note to self: look for 2 more curtains in town today.)
Now about needing chiropractic care... Aliah kinda boogied too hard, hahahaha. Poor thing. Guess I'm going to have to try out my not-so-chiro chiro skills. Pray for her :) haha And after all the bouncing up-and-down on these roads and on the 7 hour bus ride Thursday, I think we could all use a dozen adjustments :)
Well this morning for exercise we pre-determined that we are going to walk to the store for some needed items (because each store stop previously has been spur of the moment, so we really don't have things we need-like and UMBRELLA! :) and wine :) After the store we will take a taxi back to our house so we don't have to carry all of our groceries back home.
Oh, last night we were going to call a taxi and go to dinner (no real "dinner" foods in stock at the house yet) but I couldn't figure out how to get a cab driver TO our house. There are NO, let me repeat, NO street names, and NO house numbers. So with that being said, and I know virtually NO Spanish..I couldn't rightfully call a taxi. Well, guess I could dial the numbers, but that'd be the extent of it :) So today on our ride home in the taxi I know I can at least point.. (I'm going to look up a few words via 'google translator' so I can attempt to speak the language..right..left..straight..etc.)
Will post later if I get the chance. After the store we are going to Gail's and making a big banana pancake breakfast (I will be eating fruit) and then studying the Watchtower together. Then home to shower and change, go to the meeting at 2pm, the have a "cookout" for all the local witness children at 5p. Should be tons of fun today! Again :) Love, ~V & Girls
